Gavi is currently recruiting three consultant positions to support Gavi’s next Vaccine Investment Strategy (VIS). The VIS is Gavi’s evidence-informed process that takes place every 5 years to evaluate the full value of new vaccines (or underused ones) in support of Gavi’s Board investment decisions. Selected vaccines would then be included into Gavi’s portfolio at the next strategic period (2026-2030). The consultant roles are one-year roles with possibility of extension. Candidates are sought with experience in public health, epidemiology, health economics, impact modelling or closely related field and with strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills. In particular, the consultant positions are a great opportunity for researchers with an interest in policy analysis and investment case development to get exposure to how policy and investment decisions are made, including engagement with numerous stakeholders.

The Collaborative Initiative for Paediatric HIV Education and Research (CIPHER) of the International AIDS Society launched a new round of research grants on 3 October 2022. If you are an early-stage investigator working on paediatric and adolescent HIV, you can apply to the CIPHER Grant Programme and become the principal investigator on a research project with a grant of up to US$150,000 over two years.
The new round of grants will focus primarily on HIV research in paediatric, adolescent and mental health. CIPHER aims to support research projects that could inform HIV policies and programmes, thus accelerating the HIV response in Grantees’ countries. There is now an opportunity to learn from, adapt and enhance the innovative approaches to paediatric and adolescent HIV that have been developed during the COVID-19 response.
Application to the CIPHER Grant Programme is a two-stage process.

Full Proposal deadline for shortlisted candidates = 27 January 2023
