The ICGEB-SAWBP Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme, in partnership with the South African Department of Science and Innovation and the National Research Foundation will support South African women researchers holding a PhD degree, in Biotechnology or a related discipline, having outstanding ability, and who will perform hypothesis-driven research.
The SAWBP programme promotes the interaction and mobility of South African women Biotechnology researchers and the ICGEB community, including mobility support to visit other ICGEB Components in Trieste, Italy and New Delhi, India.
The Call is open for applications until 19 May 2023, and offers:
· Two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship at ICGEB Cape Town
· Applying the latest techniques and methodologies to the applicant’s chosen research topic
· Opportunities for mentoring, peer-to-peer learning and complementary skills
· Immersion in a top class international scientific environment

The event will provide potential applicants with specific information on the Global Health EDCTP3 calls for proposals and funding opportunities under Work Programme 2023, as well as information on eligibility criteria and other relevant administrative matters.
The event will also give further guidance to, in particular, research stakeholders based in Africa regarding participation in Global Health EDCTP3 projects and potential membership to the EDCTP Association.
Global Health EDCTP3 invites African and European researchers and innovators as well as citizens and all interested stakeholders to take part in the Info Day.
During the event, questions from the audience will be answered via Slido. Further information will be circulated shortly and posted on the interim Global Health EDCTP3 website.
A second Info day is planned for 12 April 2022.

A call for application is open for TDR’s
newly launched Clinical Research Leadership (CRL) fellowship programme. This
new fellowship programme will maximise the value of the clinical research
skills obtained through the placement at a Training Partner Organisation (TPO)
by focusing on research leadership, with fellows using their clinical research
skills, in conjunction with competencies and capabilities to effectively communicate
with, and support, members of a multidisciplinary team. The deadline for
applications is 15 March 2023, 17:00 CET.
