Submit Your Proposal For The 52Nd Union World Conference Before 4 May 2021

Share your research, case study or best practice by submitting a proposal for presentation at the 52nd Union World Conference on Lung Health. We welcome abstract and session proposals on issues including tuberculosis (TB) and TB co-infections, tobacco control, lung health and air pollution, as well as civil society initiatives, community engagement, human rights and other related topics.

The Union World Conference, taking place virtually from 19 - 22 October 2021, will focus on the theme Lung Health for All: Solutions for a New Era, by exploring the challenges facing global health. With the world still in the grip of a lung health pandemic, it is also confronting questions about systemic race relations and how the same vulnerable communities that bear the brunt of TB and HIV have now been hit the hardest by COVID-19.

Please carefully read the guidelines for abstract, Symposia, Post-graduate courses, Workshops and Satellite sessions before you begin. The deadline to submit is Tuesday, 4 May 2021, with the exception of satellite sessions for which the deadline is Wednesday, 30 June. Abstract submissions for TBScience will open in June 2021.

Submit now to be part of the conference programme and, in this time of pandemic, benefit from the global platform that will be offered to make your voice heard.

Are you a novel researcher?
The Union’s Abstract Mentor Programme aims to provide an opportunity for individuals with limited experience writing and submitting abstracts to work with a volunteer mentor, someone with notable experience. Mentors review and provide feedback on the writing and content of an abstract.
If you have any questions about the Abstract Mentoring Programme and/or want to participate as a mentee, please follow the steps on the website and contact us at mentoring@theunion.org if you have any questions or if you are a senior researcher willing to participate as a mentor.
